Delta approves construction of 11 new roads, completes Appeal Court complex

– 11 new roads are to be constructed in Delta state, south-south Nigeria – The state government has also completed a new Court of Appeal in the state capital, Asaba – The new judiciary complex will be inaugurated on Monday, February 3 The Delta government on Tuesday, January 21 approved 11 new roads in the state for construction. The state’s commissioner for works, Chief James Auguye, made this known while briefing newsmen at the end of the Executive Council meeting in the capital, Asaba.

 

He disclosed that the approved roads needed urgent attention as the state government was desirous of utilizing the dry season to construct a lot of roads. He stated that: “Contracts are awarded based on available money, and contractors are happy, projects that can be paid for are awarded because the process for the award of contracts is well planned.”
